
Stretham Old Engine
Stretham Old Engine is the finest example of a steam powered, double-acting rotative beam engine built in 1831 and is the last surviving complete example of its kind in the Fens. The engine demonstrates how we used to drain the fenland surrounding us . The engine is preserved by a volunteer based charitable trust and we are actively seeking local` volunteers to assist with staffing the site on open days and would welcome any interested enquires . Stretham Windmill, Ely Road
The Stretham Windmill can be found at the top of High Street where it meets the A10. The Windmill is a Grade II Listed Building (listed in 1988). It dates from 1881 and consists of four storeys of tarred brick and a metal ogee cap and fantail.
The Windmill is now a residential property but was adopted by the Observer Corps as an aircraft-spotting post between the World Wars.

The Village Cross
The Village Cross is Grade II listed and can be found in the centre of the village opposite St James’ Church. It is thought to date from around 1400 and is made from Limestone raised on a brick plinth.
The Village Farmers Markets are held around the cross and it’s the starting point for the Annual Village Feast Parade.
